On behalf of the clients, we were engaged to remove isolated areas of the degraded timber weatherboard cladding and replace with a similar profile. We also removed the 40+ year old long-run iron roofing and replaced it with a new metal roof. As part of the reroof we upgraded the old PVC gutters and downpipes with new powdercoated metal gutters and downpipes. The reroof incorporated a new breathable membrane, timber purlins, and all associated metal flashings.
As part of the cladding replacement, we installed new building paper, corner flashings, joinery head flashings and timber fascia. The entire exterior of the home was repainted to give it a fresh new look and feel. The complete project was carried out under a full house shrinkwrap to make the process seamless and ensure each trade was able to complete their scope of work in an orderly manner.
All in all, a comprehensive makeover in a very concise 10-week timeframe.
